A national one-day strike is planned by the members of COSATU and the Federation of Unions of South Africa (FEDUSA) on Monday 7th October 2024. The protest action is planned, by COSATU and FEDUSA, to cover all Provinces across the Country and all major Cities in South Africa.
All TPT terminals plan to remain open and fully functional. Each terminal has a business
continuity plan which considers the risks to terminal operations and will plan mitigations
around these risks.
A command centre will be convened at each terminal in order to monitor and plan around
the impacts of the national strike.
The affected terminals will continue to send out regular communication on the above
situation during the day of the strike.
